Shopify + Telltale

Shopify is where Telltale starts. One click from the App Store and it reads your order history on its own — no tracking script, no developer, no export. Your first retention report lands in two to five minutes.

What Telltale reads

  • Every order, with line items, discounts and channel
  • The full order lifecycle — cancellations, refunds, fulfilment, delivery and delays
  • Returns, including the reason behind each one
  • Product catalogue and stock movements
  • Abandoned checkouts

What it changes

Order history alone is enough for Telltale's AI analytics to learn how your customers buy — how often, in what order, and what a normal gap looks like for each person rather than one blanket rule for your whole list. That is what lets it flag someone as slipping while there is still time to act.

The lifecycle detail matters more than most brands expect. A late delivery or a return for a defective item is a reason a customer leaves, and it is invisible if you only look at whether an order happened.

Campaigns it powers

All thirteen, but especially Time to Reorder, Win-Back, Early Lapse Reminder and Cross-Sell — each timed to the individual customer's own rhythm.

Setting it up

Install from the Shopify App Store. Telltale requests read access to orders, customers and products, syncs your history, and returns your first report. Large catalogues sync in minutes. Nothing is written back to your store.
